City Chronicles | Alameda Point Antiques Faire

The first Sunday of each month holds the treasure hunt of a life time– the Alameda Point Antiques Faire! With a view of the San Francisco skyline across the bay and cargo ships in the Oakland Harbor, you are definitely in for a unique experience.

Booths sprawl over the concrete lot filled with clothes, furniture of all sizes, artwork, knick knacks, vintage photos and old postcards.  If you are decorating “Pinterest” style this is unquestionably your place to go.

Other than an entry fee, the day costs you little to nothing (free parking!) although not many walk out empty handed and with a heavy wallet. If you need a break from shopping your heart out there are plenty of food trucks serving a variety of dishes, there to help you refuel and replenish!

My big purchase of the day; a vintage Mickey Mouse watch! I had been coveting one of these while browsing thrift shops but struck gold at the Antiques Faire! Now I can keep my Disney addiction with me all the time 😉

Happy hunting!
